Blog-a-Joke! This is the perfect venue to show off your comic writing ability. Post a joke, a funny story, or anything that makes us laugh…just keep it appropriate!
Culminating Holocaust Project
Hi students,
I’d like to get your comments and ideas for our culminating Holocaust project: “Promoting Tolerance Dawson Style”. Most have voted on doing some sort of video. Let’s put our heads together and brainstorm some good video ideas. This is where we can get all 39 of us together instead of having us separated by classes. Send in your comments; start talking!
First Entry
Your first entry will be a critique on your Holocaust book. Just underneath this entry you’ll see the word “comment” and when you toggle over that word, “comment on first entry” comes up. If it doesn’t, you are commenting to the wrong post. Simply click on the comment button and a box will come up for you to reply. You will have to type in your first name and last initial where it says name. Do not put your whole last name! You will also need to enter your e-mail address. Start typing your “critique” in the comment box. E-mail me if you have any questions. Have fun!
When you are ready to respond to other students’ reviews, you hit the reply button under their comment. Make sure you respond to their review and do not enter another comment under “first entry”.
Welcome to your GT LA Booktalk Blog!
Hi students. This is a new venue for our booktalks. The objective for this blog is to give each of you a chance to become a literary critic for the books you are reading. Remember to watch your organization, mechanics and word choice and keep your audience in mind. Tell us what you liked about it, what you didn’t like about it and how it affected you. Don’t forget to give us the title and author first. At the end of your critique, rate your book on a 5 star rating with 5 stars being one of the best books you’ve ever read and 1 star being one of the worst. Lastly and most importantly, have fun with the blog!
