A Word About Booktalks
I love to talk to each and every one of you about your outside reading, however, there are about 150 Quest English students and we may run into times when that just isn’t practical. So, I am offering the choice of completing the booktalks in person or on the blog. Here are the blog rules:
1. Write a brief summary and critique of the book. Be sure to include the title and the name of the author and at least one quote from the book that you found interesting or that touched you in some way.
2. Do you recommend it to others? Rate it on a four star rating and tell why you give it that rating.
3. Include the number of pages you read.
4. After you have left your booktalk, you must then reply to at least 3 other students’ booktalks.
If you have further questions, be sure to ask EARLY! You don’t want to have questions at the last minute when I’m not there to help you!
The blogged booktalks are due at midnight the night before the final due date of regular booktalks. Late booktalks will not be graded! Make sure you include all required items as points will be deducted if you leave anything out. It is a good idea to e-mail me that you have blogged a booktalk as there can be delays in posting.
Happy Blogging!
